About Kianga House

Kianga House (Kianga meaning a “Ray of sunlight) is a transitional family shelter located in the Crown Heights community of Brooklyn, NY and is sponsored by the Brooklyn Neighborhood Improvement Association.

Residents generally consist of 17 young women, 18-24 years of age, who are pregnant or parenting one infant or toddler.
